5 Lessons Learned in Nomad Life: #3 Communication

I have learned that communication is an integral part of nomad travel, especially traveling with a partner. My boyfriend, Eben, and I share a common love for nature, hiking, learning and growing, meeting new people, exploring quaint towns, and having the freedom to go where our hearts desire!

We are very compatible together, however, I must admit it did take some adjustments the first few months learning to live comfortably in very tight quarters (tent and car, sometimes just car.)  Sure, we have disagreements now and then. But, because of the unique nature of our living space, we generally address and resolve any issues quite promptly. No sleepless nights is always the goal!!

It sure helps having Mother Nature at our back door! Sometimes all we need is a bit of time in silence, absorbing the beauty and wonder around us. I still believe nature is the cure for everything!

We enjoy meeting new friends and talking with fellow nomads at campgrounds, in towns, or even in online communities. There is so much info sharing among this great group of wonderers! It feels great connecting with people who share the same passions.

It hasn’t always been easy trying to communicate with others who don’t understand or agree with this lifestyle. I get it though! We all beat to a different rhythm and that’s what makes life so interesting.
