Hiking in Bliss at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

Hiking in bliss at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
Taking in all the beauty at one of the many scenic spots along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

I’m a sucker for water. Perhaps it’s the Pisces in me and also the fact I grew up on Lake Michigan in the quaint lakeside town of Holland. Little did I know that the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (UP) was home to the most spectacular waters and unique landscapes I’ve ever set eyes on!

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, located near the town of Munising, is home to bountiful natural wonders, including multicolored cliffs, crystal blue and green waters, waterfalls, sand dunes, beaches, rocks, minerals, and forests (including my favorite birch trees!) There is so much history here!

I experienced the beauty and awe of this great park by hiking along the various trails, mainly on the North Country National Scenic Trail that runs adjacent to Lake Superior.

The twenty or so miles I trekked along the Trail led me not only to the most breathtaking views I’ve ever witnessed in my hiking adventures but also to an inward expansion of love and bliss throughout my entire being.
Truly Divine!
